1. Information We Collect

Web Platform

When you create an account and use the web platform, we may collect:

Account Information: your first name, last name, and email address. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Payment Information: billing details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number on our servers.

Document Data: PDFs and images you upload for extraction. We process these files to extract structured data and store the results in your account so you can view, download, and export them.

Usage Data: information about how you use the platform, such as pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This is collected via cookies and third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics and PostHog, which may include session recordings).

Browser Extension

When you use the Parsea browser extension to extract a table, we take a screenshot of the selected area and send it to our servers for AI-powered table extraction. The result is returned to you and is not stored on our servers after processing.

Usage analytics for the extension (such as feature interactions) are collected and routed through our servers before being forwarded to Google Analytics. No personally identifiable information is included in this analytics data.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Parsea service.
• Process and display extracted document data within your account.
• Send transactional emails (e.g. email verification, password reset, purchase receipts).
• Respond to support requests.
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the platform (using anonymized or aggregated data only).

We do not use your uploaded documents or extracted data to train AI models, nor do we sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Retention

Your extracted document data is retained in your account until you delete it or close your account. You can delete individual documents or entire collections from your dashboard at any time. To request full account deletion and removal of all associated data, contact us at vinny@parsea.io.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate our platform:

• Payment processor (to handle billing)
• Cloud infrastructure provider (to host and store data)
• Analytics providers (Google Analytics, PostHog) — usage data only, under their respective privacy policies

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and collect usage analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

6. Children's Privacy

Parsea is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights
